I was sitting in my bathrobe on Sunday morning, with my bedhead and morning breath, and this concept crossed my mind. (Sometimes I like to start the coffee before brushing my teeth. Then I get distracted.)
As I sat at the kitchen table, I thought back to how mortified I used to feel if anyone ever caught me in that state.
But I felt comfortable sitting there. It was just the kids, my SO, and me.
I guess it’s part of letting yourself feel vulnerable enough to show the real you. You know, the one who hasn’t showered yet. The one who isn’t sporting fancy pajamas.
It may not be pretty, but it’s honest.
