Making Christmas cookies
Dec 16th, 2007 by Jill
Inspired by Samara and Lori, we decided to make Christmas cookies together, too. Kathy called me up with the idea and invited me over.

I asked Kathy if she had some candles she could light for more photogenic cooking.

We got a little silly. (Kathy threw herself into the photo shoot. And then she let me post the pictures online. That is true love, folks.)

There. That’s very Martha Stewart.

Sam the dog was wearing his Christmas collar.

We made ginger snaps first.

Jack was in charge of the mixer.

A tornado of boys ran through the house as we settled down to watch It’s a Wonderful Life.

The ginger snap cookies smelled really good.

Next we made chocolate chip cookies.
We discovered we have the same secret recipe. It’s on the back of the Tollhouse chocolate chip package.

(These are actually ginger snaps in the making, but they are here to illustrate the Tollhouse chocolate chip package part of the story.)

Sam made his Zoolander face for us.
