Thanksgiving dinner
Nov 24th, 2007 by Jill

Kathy and the kids came to G’s and my place this year. (We usually refer to the houses by the numbers from our street addresses instead of saying “your house” and “my house”. It has a nicer ring to it somehow — kind of like talking to people with arms open instead of crossed across our chests. I think I’ll name G’s and my place 801 for purposes of this blog.)
Kathy and the kids came to 801 for Thanksgiving dinner this year. G cooked the turkey using a Cook’s Illustrated Recipe, and the white meat was moist and juicy. I made frozen green beans for Jack (I took a handful of fresh green beans and put them in the freezer, so he could eat them greenbeancicle-style) and green beans with bacon for the rest of us. Kathy brought her cranberry chutney. After dinner, we met up with the kids’ godfather and all went out to see Bee Movie, and then all came back to 801 again for homemade pecan pie from G’s mom.
